But with around 20000 people applying each year,it’s inevitable that many brilliant and talented graduates won’t get on the scheme.
However, it’s not the only route into the sector. The rapidly stream accounted for less than 5% of all recruitment into the civil service between 2010 and 2014, and in 2014 there were 2342 rapidly streamers in total,which only amounts to just over 0.5% of the civil service.
