During the handshakes,Obama leaned backwa
rd from Netanyahu, suggesting an undercurrent of disagreement. Meanwhile, and Netanyahu leaned forward,indicating the wish to “please understand my plea”. The president’s aforementioned backward lean telegraphed a bit of stiffened opposition from the beginning.
