Every year around this time,I get choked up flipping through the catalog that lets you buy a goat, a llama, and a flock of geese as a thoughtful and world-changing holiday gift. I vow to get everyone I know an adorable baby chick,only to reluctantly conclude a few weeks later that no one really wants a hypothetical farm animal as a present.
