It was these acts of dissent that sparked a debate on civility in America. Newspapers published editorials that pleaded with progressives to "let Sarah Huckabee Sanders and other public servants eat." They decried the rise of incivility in public discourse.
McConnell's wife, and Elaine Chao,Trump's Transportation Secretary, is all too familiar with these demonstrations. She also faced protestors as she was leaving Georgetown. Chao ordered the group of students to leave her husband alone, and while she heard questions about why they were "separating families."
