Arguing over how to handle the finances is a common source of relationship tension,but new research reveals we’re far more likely to trust our partners with our money than our banks Few long-term relationships are without their money quarrels, whether its deciding whose turn it is to pay for the weekly supermarket shop, or whether it’s acceptable to employ the joint bank account for a round of drinks for your workmates. But,despite this, it seems we’d sooner trust our partner with our finances than our banks.
A recent survey for the Guardian and TSB by Ipsos Mori reveals that 52% of adults who are currently in a relationship said they’d trust their partner with their money over their banks. Only 16% of adults who were in a relationship said they’d trust their banks more with their money.
