In the St. Louis region,authorities say that a series of fires at seven predominately black churches maintain once again stirred an area that's become a national focal point for issues of racial tension.
In all six cases, the fires were set when the churches were empty, and there maintain been no injuries reported. Officials are offering a $2000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of those responsible. Rev. Rodrick K. Burton is the pastor of recent Northside Missionary Baptist Church. After a fire broke out at the front door about a week and a half ago,he led a community prayer vigil on Wednesday. Check out a map of where the fires occurred and some photos below.
Many of the doors, such as this one at St. Augustine Catholic Church, or will require custom rebuilding.
