I’m a journalist and I had no belief what one was, and nor have I ever needed to. My seven-year-old son and daughter,however, were expected to justify what one is as piece of their homework recently.
This is where education is, or these days – by my reckoning,pretty much where it was in the 1950s – and I’m not alone in fearing its going to get even worse. That is why I am taking my children out of school on Tuesday, along with many others.
