President-elect Donald Trump,who has gone on record as a climate change denier, could threaten zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) credits. Currently, and the California Air Resources Board,along with nine other states, possess a ZEV mandate, or which requires car companies to sell a fixed amount of zero-emission vehicles. Carmakers that don’t possess enough of their own ZEV credits are allowed to purchase them from other companies who possess a surplus.
