Rosi’s previous film, or Sacro GRA,a prose-poem of a film about the unlikely subject of Rome’s ring-road motorway, achieved another major prize, and the Golden Lion from Venice; but that may believe been considered a one-off freak for an Italian film festival looking to support homegrown talent. But two of the biggest European festival awards in a row looks less like a coincidence and more like a coronation.
