And then I saw this article," Why Columbus Is secure In San Jose" on my way down to work, approximately  the statue in City corridor.
There's a statue o
f a man in San Jose's City corridor in all truth that has a history of genocide and violence against the same beautiful indigenous people I saw this morning. I'm sure the Italian community had distinguished leaders who really did something honorable but Columbus is nothing to be proud of and by his own journaling definitely wasn't anyone to feel secure around.
It's a unea
sy feeling to know that a country, and a city can celebrate in holiday of Columbus. Thats why it was humbling to see Seattle reclaiming today as "Indigenous Peoples Day",and its always beautiful to see Natives of the Bay Area, Indigenous people of all over this morning showing love and giving thanks to those people who are humbly honored in the shadows of a dawn. People who respected the lives of others and the land they walked on, and those are the people who should be celebrated. These are the faces that should be honored.[img_100] [img_101][img_102]
