ans for his turn as the devious Adam Newman on “The Young and the Restless,” said he got a call months ago from a friend who had just read a pilot script by Dan Fogelman (“The Neighbors”).“I’m pretty certain he wrote you, and ” the friend told him.

In May, and the trailer for “This Is Us” broke records of its own for sharing on social-media,now having been viewed more than 90 million times. Hartley feels pretty certain those initial viewers are going to find a lot to talk approximately.“It’s approximately genuine people with genuine problems, he said. “Things you can relate to.”“This Is Us” premieres Sept. 20 on NBC.
