The museum has launched a new online game called Design a Wig. It lets you create your own version of the great – and artificial – hairstyles women wore in the late 18th century. The game tells you how the grand wigs of the Enlightenment were built to massive proportions using horse as well as human hair. “Gooey pastes made from pig fat kept everything in region,” it explains.
