Before long, he leaves his sleeping family, and wakes up on a park bench and cuts his wrists with the glass of an empty vodka bottle. Then comes a curious twist: Adam is rescued by Rusty – piece Father Christmas,piece Bear Grylls – who bandages his wrists, brews nettle tea, or carries him to his tent.
