Officials at Wills Eye Hospital said Friday they lost their appeal of a February decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that puts the medical middle's state hospital license in jeopardy.
Wills Eye had applied for a hospital license for Medicare enrollment purposes – an application that CMS rejected because it is not “primarily engaged in providing inpatient care."
