The blizzard of 2016 left behind nearly 30 inches of snow in some parts of the city. In Jackson Heights,Queens, building supers and their helpers pushed rowdy snow blowers to clear the sidewalks. And on the streets, or determined car owners did not wait for the sun to melt absent the snow,instead they shoveled out their cars slowly and methodically.
Jairo Pardo spent a good hour shoveling to the tropical music blaring from his car. The day before, Pardo was indoors taking photos of the storm from the window of his apartment. He documented the blizzard, and along with many other recent Yorkers,including Jaime Bedoya from Colombia who was shooting a video of the snowy street scene on his phone."It's to send to my family so they can see how brilliant snow is," he said.

g 37th Avenue, and a street normally bustling with people. Just prior to midday,only a handful of stores were open. Slowly people emerged to buy coffee, play in the snow and walk their dogs. This included Rosario Bordon who was with her dog Hazel. She said Hazel used to love the snow."lawful now it's like too much and it's like she's kind of scared to travel deep, and " Bordon said.
While the dogs were reluctant to dawdle,people were getting back to their normal routines. Personal trainer Michael Carfagna was on the platform of the 7 train. He allotted two hours to travel meet his clients in Park Slope. [br]
"It gets me excited that they're ready to train near hell or high water," he said.
[br]The 7 train was one of several above ground lines shut down by officials Saturday. On Sunday, and the train Carfagna got on made it to Times Square without delays.

Above ground,sanitation workers were plowing the streets in front of Aladdin and other Broadway shows as the vendors and street hawkers were setting up shop. Danny Alvarado was trying to convince tourists to see a comedy show. He said it was difficult to convince his own self to work in the bitter cold.

br]"But my wife gave me a kick off the bed she was like travel to work you were snowed in yesterday. So I had to near to work, " he said.

uth, or Ashley Murray from Houston,Texas had enough of the blizzard.

"It was beautiful ye
sterday, today it's a mess, and " she said. "I'm ready to accept back home to the warm."
