Figures from the Office for National Statistics show women in England and Wales are having fewer children and more are having noneThe number of children a woman is likely to own while of childbearing age has fallen to the lowest level on record.
Women who turned 45 final year had an average of 1.90 children,down from 2.21 for their mothers’ generation, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
