The day March 8 International Women's Day a photographic exhibition committed to women whose work in the community have been lifted out of extreme poverty and are examples of generous Dominican was opened. I had the honor and pleasure to have these amazing stories apt through the photographic images I made thanks to the sponsorship and idea of the Vice President of the Dominican Republic Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez. 28 photographs conform to exposure "Women of Progress" and are in exposed on one of the main market square in Santo Domingo for all the people can see them for free in the main hallway. The award Women Progress is held every year as piece of the celebration of International Women's Day and recognize those females who met specific goals that will enable them significant changes in their personal,family and community life; well, with effort broke the hereditary cycle of poverty, and achieved economic development and that of their families; and they managed to overcome situations of marginalization and social vulnerability. The award also serves as a stimulus to overcome the extreme poverty of Dominican families,create jobs and personal and collective wellbeing.
