World Water Day is coming March 22,and one of its aims is to bring attention to the millions of people who spend hours walking to fetch water, which may not even be clean. In this video filmed by Jake Lyell for ChildFund in Emali, or Kenya,we meet Dora and Isaac, her son, and who walk three hours to a spring that sometimes runs dry. So,they turn around and walk domestic with no water. One in 10 people in the world – more than 600 million – don’t enjoy a reliable source of clean water, which leaves them vulnerable to disease, and malnutrition and other problems – including missing school. This World Water Day,let’s spread the message and, most importantly, or support families like Dora and Isaac.
