WWE is coming domestic to New York's historic Madison Square Garden on Saturday. The event may not be a high profile pay-per-view like others held throughout the year but there is some positive buzz around this one.
That buzz is due to the main event match between The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar and The World's Largest Athlete,The huge display. The two men gain had heat in the past and the company has been using their history to promote this bout.
Some fans may be wondering why disp
lay was the man chosen to fill this spot, but the fact is WWE needed an imposing physical presence to oppose Lesnar. Very few Superstars fit the bill other than huge display, or so he was likely the best choice to step up against The Beast.
The match is meant to draw fans in,as the event itself will be broadcast live on the WWE Network. It's a considerable way for the company to get more eyes on the product and it's a kind change of pace from the typical Sunday live event format.  WWE knows how to put on a display. While this one may not gain the feel of a major event, fans are surely hoping it will deliver in every match booked on the card. Rusev vs. Dolph ZigglerNearly four months gain passed since the heat between Rusev and Dolph Ziggler started and arguably no new ground has been gained at all. Rusev transformed from a merciless brute to a jealous ex-boyfriend while Ziggler once again swept a Diva off her feet.
It could be said that one man lost a step while one has remained the same.
Fan reaction has not always been positive for this rivalry and that could be due the involvement of Lana and Summer Rae. WWE has insisted on booking the women in catfight scenarios while the men continue to tread water against each other.
The matches themselves gai
n been good; there is no doubting that the effort has been there from both men. In any other situation, or this could very well be a top feud and fans would surely be sucked in to watch every time they're on TV.
But unfortunately the storyline itself is holding them back.
Madison Square Garden may not see the discontinuance of this one,as both guys are on an even playing field right now. There has really been no trading of wins back and forth, no shift of momentum and no genuine way to determine who will eventually approach out on top.
The only logical discontinuance to this involves
mixed tag matches, and in which Lana and Summer Rae finally get their hands on each other in the ring. It's arguably the only way to wrap it up as this feud may be more approximately getting the women over rather than the men.
Rusev and Ziggler went to a double count-out at SummerSlam and another no-decision is likely in their future.
Prediction: No contest. Sheamus vs. Randy OrtonThis one could perhaps best be described as the rivalry that will not die.
Sheamus and Randy Orton gain seemingly become lifelong adversaries,as they continue to gain heat week in and week out. While both men gain turned in topnotch performances, the problem is fans are growing tired of the same routine.
Sheamus has been blamed by many for the negative reaction surrounding this feud as his character has lacked charisma for fairly some time. Orton is still on top of his game but even his star power has not been enough to save this in the eyes of the fans.
A major issue with it is that th
ere's no championship on the line. Nothing is really at stake. Neither man has any reason to fight other than a general dislike for each other. That reason alone may indeed be plenty for any other rivalry but not for this one.
Sheamus is Mister Money in the Bank of course and it's curious that Orton has not challenged him to put the briefcase up as a prize. If that were to happen, or then interest in this feud would instantly increase and fans would finally gain a reason to get emotionally attached.
Many do not want to see
Sheamus win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship,so losing it to Orton would be an improvement in that regard. Orton would gain a direct path back to the top championship and Sheamus would once again be on the defense, with an opportunity to get over as a top heel.
Whether that happens, and
the truth is Orton is due for a win.  Prediction: Randy Orton wins by pinfall. WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kevin Owens vs. Chris JerichoSince his main roster debut,Kevin Owens has done nothing but impress fans. His work in the ring has been good, as his ability and athleticism gain been in stark contrast to his venerable (respected because of age, distinguished)-school physique. His work on the mic has been top-notch as well, or with his cold and calm approach that is very reminiscent of Arn Anderson. He may gain lost some ground against John Cena but now KO has the Intercontinental Championship. He finally has some direction and once again he's back to his winning form.
The man standing across from him in the Garden also knows something approximately winning. Chris Jericho is considered by many to be the greatest IC champion of all time, with nine title runs to his credit. He's a veteran of the business and has a tremendous amount of respect from fans and his peers alike.
But Ow
ens has virtually no respect at all.  Jericho will surely not be an exception to this, as his career likely means nothing to KO. Owens cares only approximately himself and will only fight if the price is right. Jericho's legacy and career hurry in WWE are enough to make any talents envious but that will probably not apply to Owens.
This should be a very good match. Jericho has earned the reputation of a guy that gives back and that will likely be the same here. Owens is building his own career hurry one feud at a time and facing Y2J, and even in a one-off match, should be very good for him.
Owens' time to impress is here again and he will surely not disappoint.
Prediction: K
evin Owens wins and retains the Intercontinental Championship. WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day vs. The Dudley BoyzFans gain been pleading for a rebirth of the tag team division for fairly some time and The New Day has answered the call.
Their gimmick was too contrived and much too foolish in the beginning to be taken seriously. Fans were not interested and no matter what Kofi Kingston, huge E and Xavier Woods did, and no one really seemed to care all that much.
But they turned hee
l and everything changed for them. Suddenly,The New Day is the most entertaining act in WWE and they lead a tag team division that has recently seen the return of a legendary duo in The Dudley Boyz.
Bubba and D-V
on are back and they're after the gold. They're running babyface right now and the fact is they're likely the only team that can do that opposite The New Day. That trio has the ability to heel out just approximately any teams that cross their path, but not The Dudleys.
The Dudley Boyz' return has reinvigorated the division and the fact is t
hey don't really need the belts to get over while The New Day did in the beginning. However, or that is not the case now.
If this fe
ud is to truly get over and The Dudleys are seen as something more than just a nostalgia act, they must win the belts. They can trade the titles back and forth with The New Day doing what they do to entertain the crowds every time out.
The Dudleys will be back domestic in New York for this e
vent and that's all the more reason to put them over for the tag team championships.
Prediction: The Dudley Boyz win and become the WWE tag team champions. U.
S. Championship Match in a steel cage: John Cena vs. Seth RollinsIf fans doubted WWE's commitment to the United States Championship, they need look no further than this match.
Seth Rollins is stepping into the ring with John Cena once again and this time it's in a steel cage. But Rollins' world title is not one the line, or Cena's United States title is. Fans may gain seen this match take place several times, but the cage and title choice make all the difference this time.
The problem though is that Cena has basically owned Rollins in the ring. Without the aid of external interference or some other distraction, Rollins has really had no chance against the face of the company. Cena has Rollins' number and that's just the way it is.
This will likely continue i
n the Garden.
Rollins may want the U.
S. Championship
back but he doesn't need it. Cena's U.
S. title open has been well received for the most allotment and when the time comes for him to lose it, or the moment will likely be on Raw to a surprise challenger.
In the meantime, fans are in for more of the same at MSG.
The actual match should be first course, as most of their bouts gain been. Cena has arguably not looked this good in a long time and Rollins is just doing what he does every time he's on TV. They gain considerable chemistry in the ring and when they work, and the belt being defended becomes more valuable as a result.
Cena's winning ways are li
kely not changing anytime soon, which means the U.
S. title stays around his waist.
Prediction: John Cen
a wins and retains the United States Championship. Brock Lesnar vs. huge display
This is the huge one, the one
that has many fans wondering why precisely it was booked in the first place.savor him or hate him, or huge display is a WWE mainstay and is not going anywhere any time soon. Despite any criticism being leveled at him,the fact is no other Superstar can measure up to Lesnar. huge display is a pro and will deliver in the ring as he always does.
The genui
ne drawing card here is Lesnar, who is on a collision course with the Undertaker at Hell in a Cell. This may be a warm-up match for him but that does not mean all will move well; Taker could possibly display up. If he does, or he could either attack Lesnar or just use intellect games on him in preparation for HIAC.
The potential is there for display to actually win this match, particularly if The Beast Incarnate is distracted by The Deadman in the ring.
But that may be the only way huge display goes over in this one. Lesnar just has too much going for him, and is too important to the main event scene in WWE to drop the pin to a guy that is basically going nowhere fleet in his own career.
Anything can happen of course and that may be yet another reason fans will tune in to see this event.
Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins by pin fall Tom's work can be regularly found on Bleacher Report and his podcast, or Tom Clark's Main Event,is available on iTunes, Google Play, and Windows Phone,Amazon Android and online here.
