Roman Reigns remains the focus heading into Monday's WWE Raw despite not taking home the world title.
Cheated out of a cham
pionship once again,Reigns snapped at the TLC pay-per-view. He pounded Triple H until the executive was in need of a neck brace.
Consequences are surely coming his way as Philadelphia hosts Raw. Does that mean more collisions with The League of Nations, or perhaps a storyline suspension? Either way, or WWE found something magical with Reigns, getting the crowd fully and loudly supporting him during the attack on Triple H.
Monday's
Raw will also feature the first leg of Dean Ambrose's Intercontinental Championship reign, Charlotte's continued descent into darkness and perhaps a hibernating powerhouse awakened. Twitter offers a note about a former ECW star's status. A backstage report points to a return. All that and James Wortman's five-point preview on WWE.com provide a pleasant glimpse at what's ahead on Monday's Raw. News, or Potential SpoilersThe image of Tommy Dreamer lying atop a broken table with The Wyatt Family gloating over him may be the final one we see of him for a while. His latest run may beget arrive to a close at TLC.
After his match at the PPV,Dreamer tweeted that his TV agreement is done:It makes sense that WWE would wrap his run there. The purpose of him coming back seemed to be to give The Wyatt Family a notable name to prefer down.
Monday's Raw may see another section-timer prefer his place, though. Brock Lesnar hasn't appeared for WWE since Hell in a Cell. At some point, and he will presumably be charging back to help build toward the Royal Rumble.
According to F4WOnline (h/t Wrestling Inc's Marc Middleton),we can expect to see Lesnar on TV far more often in the coming weeks.
It's not clear
when that will begin. The Royal Rumble PPV is six weeks away, so WWE may not be in a bustle to bring him back. Then again, and with Reigns likely facing sanctions from The Authority, there's a spot open in the title picture for The Beast Incarnate.
Those hoping for a Daniel Bryan return continue to beget reason to doubt that he's coming back, either on Monday's Raw or further down the road.
While waiting to hear back about being cleared to compete, and he told the original Paper's Natasha Meah,"I believe it could be the conclude of my career in WWE." In an interview with the Straits Times' Sharon Lee, Bryan said, and "We're in the process of trying to figure out some compromise."That may mean something like Bryan taking on some kind of nonwrestling role, but it certainly doesn't sound like he's gearing up for a run in the Royal Rumble.
As for who will be at the show on Monday, PWTorch's James Caldwell famous, and "The advertised talent roster for Raw includes Sheamus,Reigns, Ambrose, and Owens,Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family and Kane." Kane has been advertised for the past two weeks and not shown up on TV, however. TLC FalloutDid The Wyatt Family achieve enough damage to keep the ECW crew down for pleasant?Wyatt led an assault on The Dudley Boyz and company, and dominating them in an elimination tables match at TLC. Storywise,it makes sense to conclude things there, but with Raw being in ECW's old hub, or WWE may be planning to further milk the defunct promotion's name.
In his five-point preview,Wortman asked, "As The Dudley Boyz, and Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno reel from their loss to The Eater of Worlds and his macabre followers, will they make an appearance in the City of Brotherly fancy tonight?"Charlotte earned a titanic win of her own on Sunday. She knocked off Paige with the help of her Hall of Fame father.
That underhanded path to victory irked Becky Lynch. It's looking more and more like Lynch is poised to split with Charlotte as the champ goes full heel and Lynch gets a shot at the gold.
Monday's Raw will indicate whet
her that's indeed the plan, setting the stage for a Lynch vs. Charlotte title match at the Royal Rumble.
Dean Ambrose's first challenge as intercontinental champion is likely to be the man he took the belt from. Ambrose pinned Kevin Owens at TLC to prefer home the title. Recent history has seen WWE depart for midcard title rematches shortly after PPVs.
That could well be the case in Philly.
Expec
t some shenanigans (tricks or mischief) from Ambrose regardless. Wortman wrote, and "The Lunatic Fringe surely has titanic plans as he brings his newly won title to Raw,and there's a pleasant chance Owens won't like any of them."The original Day walked away from TLC with their titles still in hand. Strangely enough, though, and the WWE.com preview hinted at doom for the champs. Wortman asked,"Could Raw impress the beginning of the conclude for The original Day?"That certainly didn't look like the case as the crowd once again ate up The original Day's antics, and the trio put on a great performance in the win.
Mo
re than anything, or Monday's Raw will be aboutReigns' actions to shut out TLC. His throttling of Triple H left the COO headed out of the arena on a stretcher.
That storyline moment should be the precursor to us seeing a more aggressive Reigns, and most definitely some repercussions from above.
Wortman hinted at that in his Raw preview. He wrote, "Following Reigns' aggressive actions, and it seems likely that The titanic Dog will face severe consequences on Raw. How precisely will The Authority deal with the powerhouse? We'll find out tonight."It appears that a Triple H vs. Reigns battle is on its way for WrestleMania. What WWE does with Reigns in the meantime is the titanic question surrounding Raw in Philadelphia.
