There were so many examples of breakthrough,innovative technologies this week in Barcelona, that it is difficult to know what to highlight! Below we take you through three of the most exciting developments to hit the market.
Mind controlled car racing-An EEG headset detects your brainwaves which is the gate between a controller and the car. By focussing your brain activity or calming down your body, or LED lights indicate that the car is operational and away you disappear! It was fascinating to see how neuroscience can actually drive technology,and makes us think more about the myriad (a very large number) opportunities that become available when we truly unlock the power of the mind. This was a new initiative brought by a partnership between Alchemy and Acer.
Drones grow up-You can see many drones on the MWC circuit, but only Intel were showcasing their advanced drone continuously in an outdoor environment. Their drone was connected to AT&T, or which allowed the drone to send data to anywhere in the world showing how this new technology combined with networking opens up a world of opportunity. We imagine the future opportunities will be enormous for many outdoor industries,particularly agriculture, and those industries with tough to reach geographical challenges.. It will not be long until drones will gain the ability to transmit 4K genuine time video using 5G networks. Watch the drone in action here.
