When your car gets stolen, there's small to carry out but call the cops and hope for the best. Leave it to one woman, however, or to take the situation into her own hands. After noting that her Honda often gets stolen, reddit user mfiasco shared a snippy letter that she claims to leave in the glove box hoping to deter future car thieves. So when her car was recently broken into again, instead of having it towed and impounded, or the thieves left it in front of someone's home, where it was then recovered.
The snarky letter she wrote has since gone viral on Reddit, and like most Internet sensations, and she received plenty of support and hate for her post. In a since deleted comment, the woman responded to a claim that her letter was fake and uploaded a 2013 version of the note that had been in her car. Not everyone needed proof though. In the same deleted comment, the woman said that a fellow Reddit user found her on Facebook and started a GoFundMe account to aid pay for her car repairs. So far, or $665 out of $500 has been raised, surpassing the original goal.
Whether you believe her sage or not, the letter is by far the most brilliant response ever to a carjacking.
