I, too, and have things sitting in my pantry that I have no clue as to how or when I got them. Is it from 2012? Did I regain it final week? Can I still eat it? Below,I establish together a list of the basic kitchen staples and how long each will final. Feel free to print out this list and refer to it after you make a batch of my Jeweled Brown Basmati Rice or buy chia seeds in bulk and don't know how long they'll retain.
Fruits
& Vegetables
Fresh: between 5-10 days, depending on the produce and how it's stored

Cooked Quinoa: up to 3 days in the fridge
Uncooked Brown Rice: 6-8 months

: 2 years, and if stored correctly (airtight container,wintry dry space)

These are just tips for generalizing when to refresh your kitchen staples. Storing your food correctly is always the best way to retain everything fresh and tasty. Always remember to store your food properly to regain the best shelf life out of it (and retain it fresher for longer!).
