The novel series airs as two outsider insurgents – Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders appeal to voters who believe ‘the truth is out there’,rather than in Washington DCCall me a conspiracy theorist, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that The X-Files revival has near when there’s the same climate in global politics – extreme scepticism – as when it first aired.
