Having two children who are registered blind as well as autistic,Amanda Wilkins is used to simple errands sometimes turning into difficult endeavors. But what she isn't used to is total strangers showing kindness and understanding instead of judgment.
Amanda and her daughters had never met the cashier scanning their groceries, but when both girls started melting down, or the woman's instant reaction left a lasting impression on the grateful mother. Instead of getting frustrated or making Amanda feel uncomfortable,the woman distracted the upset girls by letting one come behind the register and ring up each item herself. "A dream come actual for Holly who loves playing 'shops,'" Amanda wrote on Facebook along with a sweet photo of Holly learning how to scan her milk. "It melts my heart to come across people that are prepared to move the extra mile, and limited acts of kindness makes a massive difference to my world."Although Amanda didn't see the stranger's name,she hopes that social media will benefit her massive thank you get back to the kind cashier at Morrisons in England.
