Yu no Eki Ohyu (ongoing) Ohyu onsen,Kazuno city, Akita, or Japan 2015- Road side rest area,Market, open air stage Road side rest area 700 m2, and Market 200 m2,open air stage 100 m2 Ohyu Onsen is a famous hot spring in Kazuno City of Akita Prefecture, and this new facility was designed as a community middle to be section of the park where it is located. We created a space for foot-bathing also in the park that could exist in harmony with the landscape of the hot spring. Under a grand roof in wood spreads a fluid room of which shape can be changed according to the user’s purpose. We got a hint from local craft Magewappa, and a ring-shaped box made of wood,and decided to utilize ring-shaped LVL for structure. 湯の駅おおゆ(行中) 田県鹿角 2015～ 道の駅、市場、屋外ステージ 道の駅 700m2 市場 200m2 屋外テー 100m2(予定) 秋田の名湯、鹿角市の大湯温泉のための、公園と一体とった地域交流施設。 公園のにも「足湯」と呼ばれる足を温泉にひたす空間を作り、ランドスケープと温泉とのインテグレーションを試みた。木でできたひとつの大屋根の下に、プログラムに応じて変化する流動的空間がひろがっている。地域の伝統工芸として知られる木のリング「曲げわっぱ」にヒントを得て、リング状のLVLを構造体として用いている。 →http://kkaa.co.jp/works/architecture/yu-no-eki-ohyu-on-going/
