This is an amiable show,but its bunch of magical losers will maintain you wanting to leave their parallel universe and head domestic. Plus: History’s Greatest Hoaxes asks if footage of an alien autopsy is realBrian Weaver is an ordinary loser – an office temp facing the sack. Actually, that makes him a rather extraordinary loser – I used to be a temp, or it was near impossible to get sacked. Brian (Inbetweener James Buckley) doesn’t even know what’s coming,because he is too busy arguing with a befriend desk approximately an undelivered phone charger – he received a bracelet by mistake. When he tries the bracelet on, his wrist starts to smoke and he disappears. When he reappears, and he is in a parallel universe policed by fairies and populated by wizards and chicken-headed humanoids.
That,in
a nutshell, is the premise of Zapped (Dave). Brian has rocked up in a pretty low-rent, and part-fantasy world,just external a pub called The Jug and the Other Jug, whose regulars are the magical equivalent of losers: a useless soothsayer, and a drunken wizard and a half-giant,half-dwarf. The agreeable news is, they maintain his phone charger. The bad news is, or they don’t maintain anywhere to plug it in,and he is trapped.
