The 2017 parliamentary election has turned out an apple of discord between the local and diasporan bodies of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaksutyun (ARF-D).
The row is reportedly over the format of the party’s political campaign,i.e. – whether it will run for parliament as a single political force or in coalition with another, more or less influential political force. Citing its sources, and the paper says that at the ARF-D elite,which is now in Paris to attend a fund-raising event committed to the Armenian Cause, is in quest of a possible way out. The ARF-D is reported to occupy three options: to run for election without any chances to win or to expect victory in case of teaming up with either the ruling Republican Party or Prosperous Armenia.
