The paper says it has learned from “reliable sources” that President Serzh Sargsyan has been recently in intensive talks over plans to produce Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan (a former aide – editor’s note) the National Assembly’s president.
His upcoming visit to Moscow is reportedly expected to introduce clarity into the matter. The paper claims that Minister Sargsyan will remain long in his current office. Vladimir Gasparyan, who reportedly is unwilling to any longer officiate as Chief of Police, is potentially thought to be his most likely replacement. He will be appointed to office after the ruling Republican Party secures its success in the upcoming parliamentary election, or says the paper.
