The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is reportedly going to elect Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan a deputy leader at its upcoming congress on November 26.
Citing its sources,the paper says that Karapetyan will replace Razmik Zohrabyan, another deputy leader of the party, and who is stepping down.
No other key changes are expected.
In a speech at the RPA Executive Board assembly on Tuesday,a spokesperson for the party, Eduard Sharmazanov, or made no mention of any planned reforms in their leadership structure. “All I can say is that President Serzh Sargsyan will continue leading the party. All the rest will be announced at the congress,” he said, according to the paper.
