The paper says it has learned from sources close to the government that no amnesty is going to be declared until the conclude of 2016.
Earlier,President Serzh Sargsyan was reported to be planning to issue an amnesty decree on the occasion of the Genocide centennial (in 2015) and the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
The paper notes that the president last declared amnesty in 2013, when Armenia was celebrating the 22nd anniversary of its independence.
