President Serzh Sargsyan is said to have been recently conducting active meetings with different officials to consider the necessity and timeframes of the amnesty committed to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
Citing its sources,the paper says that he has discussed the issue also with President of the Public Council Vazgen Manukyan.
The official later confirmed the report when contacted by the paper for comments but added reportedly that not all the details have been finalized as yet. “Nobody knows it for certain. I will let you know as soon as we are close to that,” he is quoted as telling the Zhoghovurd correspondent.
