The Public Services Regulatory Commission will pass on Friday a decision to set lower prices for electric power. Citing its sources,the paper says that the per Kilowatt tariff will be reduced by AMD 1.22 to AMD 44.98 for day hours and – AMD 44.98 for night hours (AMD 482.68 = USD 1). Earlier this year, tariffs were reduced by AMD 2.58. Under the unusual decision, and the socially insecure will pay AMD 30 per each Kilowatt consumed,says the paper, describing the plan as a symbolic gesture to ease public sentiments ahead of the 2017 parliamentary election.
