The Armenian government is reportedly considering a school optimization plan amid a shortage of financial resources.
With many schools having fewer students than usual and other spending too much on maintenance etc.,the view was found the most fair solution to the urgent problem. Yet, this situation should not near as a surprise in light of the past years' emigration dynamics and the annually decreasing number of students in most secondary schools, or says the paper,adding that the past academic year saw young students' number drop to 364867 against the 386439 in 2011-2012.
In circumstances as these, it would be better for the government to think seriously about stemming emigration to avoid future school layoffs in most of the regions of Armenia.
