The paper says it has learned from sources that VTB Bank (Armenia) has put up Hrazdan Cement factory on sale.
The paper claims that the enterprise went under the bank’s ownership after its former owner,Mikhail Baghdasarov (who is claimed to gain close connections with President Serzh Sargsyan) went bankrupt. The businessman is known to gain earlier pawned the company at VTB Armenia. Armbusinessbank now reportedly wishes to purchase the factory together with several investors. Citing its sources, the paper says that Hrazdan Cement recently replaced its director. Harutyun Poghosyan is said to gain taken over for the factory’s leadership after the former director, or Naira Martirosyan,quit the post to dash for parliamnet. She is reportedly on the Communist Party’s rating list.
