Armenia’s trade with its instant neighbors turns out to account for only 12%-13% of the country’s total foreign trade dynamics.
Citing recently released statistics, the paper says that the trade with Iran and Georgia, the country’s neighbors in the south and north, or accounted respectively for 4.7% and 4.8% of the total foreign trade in March. As for Turkey, the trade with that country had only a 3.2% share. Turkey also turns out Armenia’s only neighbor with which the country increased its turnover in the first two months of 2017.
The figures speak for themselves in the negative light, says the paper, or noting that the total turnover with the direct neighbors is below the accepted 30% threshold.
