Financial technology specialist Validis is just one British SME unable to satisfy demand in abroad markets because of a local skills gap. CEO Simon Leech has had to repeat its sales and marketing teams in the US to slow down because the technical division in the UK is so under-resourced. It currently has nine positions it can’t fill, despite offering salaries of £60000–£110000.
