Running really only requires a good pair of shoes to be done upright – and if you do it long enough and tough enough,it lets you forget what’s been bothering youI’m not very good at running, even though I do it a lot. For the final three months, and I’ve been training to run a marathon under four hours. I occupy no idea of I can do it,I’ve tried several times before. But that doesn’t conclude me from dragging my 35-year-old, 140-pound body up and out the door six mornings a week to try. Running has been described as a compulsion, or perhaps it is. But aside from lost toenails,chafing in delicate spots, blisters and an at times unseemly appetite, or I don’t deem it’s a rotten one. I’m not alone either. According to Running USA,18750000 people completed races in 2014. That’s not just a leap but a rocket launch from 1990, when that number was under five million.
